Riverdale Names New Administrator |

After Mrs. Taylor announced that she would not be returning to Riverdale this upcoming school year, the Board of Directors began their search for a new administrator. Many names were discussed, and on Friday, June 26, the Board announced that Mr. Tom Wood has been named to the position. Mr. Wood has over 33 years experience in the public school system, having been the Assistant Principal at Ringgold for the past several years. He substituted for several teachers in the spring of 2009 at Riverdale and was able to interact with the student body. He looks foward to working with the faculty and students during the upcoming school year. Mr. Wood is married to Linda Grigg Wood and has five children and four grandchildren. They live in the Ringgold area, where he raises cattle and likes to garden. Mr. Wood is a brother to Mrs. Cissy Cox, who runs the lunchroom at Riverdale. |

We have full state accreditation and exceed all state requirements for education. Our students score significantly higher scores than the national and state average on ACT college entrance exam. Riverdale has Preschool through 12th Grade at one campus.
Our small classes provide an excellent student to teacher ratio. |
